PROJECT: INTERIOR DESIGN AND SUPERVISION OF THE APARTMENT
- PHASE: BUILT
This large apartment is located near the center of Tirana, in the 6 floor of a palace built approximately 15 years ago. It is inhabited by families containing 4 persons, parents and 2 young girls. The owners thought to make a renovation of the apartment by reorganizing its space separation as well as its orientation.
The total area of the apartment is 230 m², from which 200 m² is the apartment and 30 m² the porch. The entrance is represented by a wide corridor which is orientated to the day area. This area is the concept of “open-space”, where all day services, cooking, eating and living are organized in a space with a surface of 65 m².
The used style is that of contemporary classical, or called differently as reinterpreted classic. Its origins are in classic forms, but are adopted with requirements of time living, by simplifying it in shape and color. Colors used are tone of white, pearl, gold, by passing in warm colors such as olive colors on the paper of walls or honey color of the skin couches.
The used lightening is combined, where we have side lightening through the wall apps, lighting from above through the same line of lamps and lighting masked in areas where the hanging ceiling meets the wall. Lampshades are gold colored metal skeleton covered in crystal softening the strong gold sparkle.
The floor is paved with natural wood flooring, which adds warmth environment not only by its color, but more importantly with its material that brings natural warmth.
The night area consists of three bedrooms where two rooms are girls and another room is matrimonial bedroom. The girls’ rooms are treated with a romantic style using wall paper with floral motifs, or with beds made of beaten iron and with curved decorative elements. Colors used are white, powder pink and gray to blue in one room while in the other room the white one, blue and mustard.
Matrimonial bedroom is a mini separate apartment. It is composed of matrimonial room, cloakroom and toilet with an area of about 55 m². House is centered on the bridal bed, which borders the corridor that leads to the environment wardrobe and toilet with the rest of the room.
All furniture are carried out manually by the Albanian craftsman and designed by the design studio with all the details of their implementation. The apartment is treated in details, starting from the plan solution to the furniture design through to the choice of pieces of curtains or blankets and pillows to create a curated environment and unified in its style.
